I chose the Nearpod tool to create a presentation. In a few weeks, I will hold an "in house" professional development for the platform SeeSaw. SeeSaw is a platform for student engagement. The students can show what they know using pictures, videos, drawings, text, documents, and links. Nearpod is user friendly. It has interactive learning activities that gauge student's understanding. The teachers and students will benefit from using this tool with instruction. It gives the teachers multiple ways to teach a lesson. The teachers can also benefit from the Nearpod tool, because they're able to share the Nearpod lesson. The teachers can also run reports in Nearpod to get a learner's quiz grade or see how well they did with an embedded activity. It also benefits learners because their understanding and of content deepens with fun, interactive activities like "Draw It, Matching Pairs, or Time to Climb". I did not face any challenges with this assignment.

Brittany,

This was such a great idea to use this resource for your professional development. I used Nearpod as well and used it for a lesson extension. It is a new resource to me and i went straight to just thinking I could only use it for the kids in my classroom. But, i now see it can be used even beyond that!

Brittany,

I used Nearpod as well and found it to be very straight forward to use. I like how you used Nearpod for a professional development at your school. I also agree that Nearpod makes it very easy to gauge student's understanding during activities.
